The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association is a high profile, award-winning non-profit trade organization and has been serving the industry since 1979. Our mission is to serve the lodging industry by providing relevant communication, offer opportunities for professional and leadership development, offer comprehensive and robust industry educational resources and programs; provide value-added member-based services; and continue to be a strong partner for the industry.
Industry supporting businesses are encouraged to participate in NHLA resources and benefits while establishing strong visibility with access to industry leaders by becoming a member. Vendor members have the opportunity to participate in special promotions, present at NHLA webinars, conferences and other educational sessions, network with hoteliers, play in industry golf and bowling tournaments and attend the NHLA Stars of the Industry Hospitality Awards Gala.
The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation is aligned with the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association to provide career scholarships for members and their immediate families. Investing time, effort and investment develops workforce talent and creates opportunities for our communities. We remain accountable as we rally our business leaders and communities in helping us to achieve our educational goals for Nevada’s hospitality industry. Together we can fuel the education and future development for people entering the industry or looking to advance.
NHLA is led by a professional and experienced staff supported by a board of highly respected industry leaders. We have many committees and councils to provide timely and relevant resources, communication, and services for our members.
A full range of benefits are included in membership. Educational and leadership development programs, certifications, Deals and Discounts, savings center, group health plans, careers page, committees, social media posts, networking, golf and bowling tournaments and the annual Stars of the Industry awards event.
NHLA hosts over 70 events and activities each year. The calendar is updated frequently with new happenings. Registration for NHLA members is completed through the event calendar. Check back often for new activities. Most events are free to members or have a nominal fee.
Women in Lodging
Nevada Women in Lodging is a division of NHLA and is provided exclusively for female hospitality professionals to connect with top leaders statewide while networking, enhancing education, supporting the industry, mentoring and advancing careers, and providing community philanthropic resources.
Emerging Leaders is a division of the NHLA comprised of young industry professionals. It exists to engage young professionals in the Nevada hospitality and support industries through the development of local resources including networking, mentorship, philanthropic and educational opportunities.
NHLA committees are open to all members. The purpose of the committees is to ensure NHLA is offering the most relevant and beneficial resources and education for our members in each area. The committees meet once quarterly and share their insights and guidance as well as developing new contacts.
