Lots of activities are on the calendar for NHLA this month. As we currently live in a virtual world, NHLA has become a source of information through webinars and communication. Presenting valuable and relevant information for our members is our key goal. We also have some fun activities scheduled at NHLA in October.
From October 1-31, members can participate in our Halloween virtual 5K. Put on your costume and run, walk or jog 5K in the comfort of your own choice of location such as home, neighborhood parks or other outdoor areas. Choose your date and time and send us fun pictures when you finish so we can post them in our social channels.
On October 7, an important diversity webinar will be offered at 10:00 a.m.: Why you Need D&I Now: The Business Case for Change. The session will be conducted by leading professionals and will discuss how diversity and inclusion supports innovation, increases productivity and impacts the bottom line.
How about a round of golf? NHLA is hosting a golf tourney from October 9-31 at TPC Golf Course where individuals can choose their tee time and date, play a round and be entered into the tournament. At the end of the month, the golf team will determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. The winners will be notified and will receive trophies.
7 Tips for Creating a More Inclusive Workplace will be presented on October 14. It will include essential steps for traversing the road to inclusivity in your organization. October 21 brings an informative session on Unmasking Unconscious Bias. This segment will discuss tools for courageous exploration of assumptions that impact how we make decisions in the workplace.
