Lots of great activities! Let’s pack in a few productive events in November before the holiday seasons arrives. Remember, NHLA members are encouraged to attend events as often as they can. Sign up on the event calendar at nvhotels.com.
Starting with November 1, the NRG young professionals’ council will have their Q4 meeting. The council members guide the activities of the NRG division of NHLA under the direction of NHLA President Diane Gandy. Anyone with ideas or suggestions for the NRG 2019 event calendar, please contact us.

Also on the 1st, there will be a Women in Lodging self-defense class in partnership with NHLA member, Mace, Int. Join us for our Q4 WIL event as Larry Pope, North Coast Defense Academy, presents a safety class that will include presentations and hands-on demos. Learn present mindedness, safety tips and how to effectively use pepper spray.

Ever wonder how young people have risen quickly from the ranks to supervisory and management levels? Here’s the chance to find out from our young professional leaders. A panel event will take place on Nov. 5 at the Orleans. Panelists are young managers holding positions of responsibility and direction. Take the chance to ask them for their tips, suggestions and do’s and don’ts for those wishing to move forward in their careers. Attend this one of a kind young professionals event.

We’ll be in Reno on November 7 for a Northern Nevada council meeting followed by our first bocce ball tournament and social. Come meet us at the Renaissance, catch up with colleagues and industry friends and have a fun afternoon. Proceeds benefit Dress for Success Northern Nevada. Let’s play bocce!

November 27 wraps up our November activities with the Q4 Women in Lodging council event. We’ll be discussing lots of exciting activities for 2019. Stay tuned!
