NHLA Chairman of the Board

Boyd Gaming has been a member of NHLA for over 17 years. I have been on the board of directors for 7 years and am currently serving as the chairman of the board.

The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association brings an abundance of resources, benefits and activities to our hospitality industry throughout the state.

  • Educational programs, certifications, conferences, webinars, seminars
  • Professional leadership programs
  • Mentor programs (I am big proponent of this program!)
  • Emerging Leaders young professionals
  • Women in Lodging (I’m a founding member)
  • Committees providing expertise and guidance relevant to our hospitality industry
  • Networking events
  • Bowling and Golf tournaments

During this challenging COVID-19 crisis, NHLA has been with our members every step of the way providing resources to a wide range of directives, mandates, issues, entities, agencies and other sources of assistance and important communication. Diane Gandy, our President and her team, answers hundreds of questions every week and is always available.

We have assembled dozens of free educational programs and opportunities for those not working or working from home. We will all need to work together to bring our city back to its pre-pandemic days.

I strongly support membership in the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association and recommend it for anyone in the industry. Let’s make Vegas stronger together!  When a company joins all team members can utilize the benefits and resources.  Check us out at www.nvhotels.com.

Even though I just received my membership, I’m in awe of how much rich information has been shared via the newsletter. But I’ll be honest, what has inspired me the most is the critical sharing of information to which is razor focused on getting everyone through these unprecedented times. I truly look forward to eventually meeting more of the membership and engaging with this dynamic group.
