NHLA Women in Lodging (WIL) is committed to the professional development of women in the hospitality industry. We provide opportunities for women to obtain leadership competencies through certifications, seminars, classes and conferences. Through educational programming, structured mentoring, networking opportunities and philanthropic endeavors, WIL provides the forum for professional women to gain career momentum and connect with other industry leaders.
NHLA Women in Lodging is active, attending events and planning for future activities that benefit our professional women in the hotel industry.
On July 28, our group met at Pinot’s Palette at Town Square for a fun and relaxing evening. Everyone had the opportunity to sip wine while painting a pre-selected canvas image to take home and enjoy begin together again.
Beginning October 12 through October 30, WIL members will have a chance to learn to play golf or hone their skills. This 5-week session is taught by professionals from the UNLV PGM Golf Program. There will be 4 weeks of lessons and the last week participants will play a round of golf at a local course.

We will have our annual WIL Conference on November 4 at the Orleans. The theme is Raise Your Hand! Special guest presenters include Mary Ann Burns, VP Hotel Operations with Boyd Gaming; Chris Breed, VP Hotel Operations, Soleil Management; Megan Archambeault, VP of Sales, MGM Grand and NYNY; and Ruth Furman, Principal at Image Words. Janice Tanaka will moderate the conference. Don’t miss it!
