Michele Kline will host the new session of the “Read to Lead” NHLA WIL book club tonight. The event will take place at Robert Irvine’s Public House at the Tropicana starting at 6:00 p.m.

The “Read to Lead” book club began in 2018 and was a great success. A small group of NHLA WIL members met three times and discussed the book that was assigned. Thought leadership and new friendships occurred.
The book club was started by NHLA President Diane Gandy, Dr. Toni Repetti (UNLV) and Michele Kline (Tropicana). The purpose is to provide an activity that helps to enhance or develop leadership skills through reading related business books.

Each session is six weeks long with the group meeting at the beginning, two weeks in and at the end. We meet in relaxed, casual settings at 6:00 p.m. for one hour each time.

This session we will be reading “Dare to Lead” by Brene Brown. It is touted as an insightful guide to courageous leadership. It is noted by Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, as a “road map for anyone who wants to lead mindfully, live bravely and dare to lead.”
We read one new book each quarter with new and returning participants. The book club is open to all NHLA WIL members and everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in.
Next: NHLA WIL Book Club in August
The next book club will take place August 8 led by Monique Makhlouf, Director of Learning and Development with Soleil Management. We will meet at Tahiti Village for that opening session.

It is not too late to join this new session kicking off tonight. If you can’t make this one, consider the August book club. It is a fun experience with like-minded female leaders always looking to enhance leadership development skills and methods.
