Your October calendar will be busy! Our NHLA members can look forward to a busy month. In addition to the most popular event of the year, the 8th Annual Stars of the Industry, we have several other productive activities scheduled.
On October 10, Mary Giuliano, General Manager of Vdara, will host a Women in Lodging Leadership Chat presenting “Authentic Leadership.” Mary has an extensive career with MGM Resorts and will share her experiences, challenges and tips for success.
The Leadership Chat program was implemented in August and will be offered each quarter.
The Leadership Chat series will feature a high level, successful industry female hosting a small group of WIL members on property. The event provides the opportunity for the attendees to learn from the leader by asking questions and listening to her career journey. Tips and guidance will be invaluable for our WIL members in attendance. Sessions are limited to 25 participants; register for the October 10 event now.
October 18, the most prestigious and anticipated industry event of the year takes place at Aria. The 8th Annual Stars of the Industry honors the exemplary industry super stars throughout the state. Buy tickets to attend now.
NHLA has several committees in place including housekeeping, sustainability, education, government affairs, safety/security and food and beverage. We welcome new committee members at any time. On October 28, we will honor the memory of one of our brightest friends and members of all time – Lyra Hynie. We lost Lyra this year but she shines brightly in our memories. We will have a NHLA/WIL team at the upcoming Making Strides Breast Cancer walk on October 28. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Research and Awareness. Come out, join your friends, get a little exercise, enjoy the fall weather and help us honor Lyra. Everyone is welcome including family, friends, children…everybody! Sign up.
