Northern Nevada events have been scheduled for NHLA members for the next several months. With 9 members on the board representing Northern Nevada and a specially appointed NNV council, NHLA is able to offer benefits and resources relevant for the regional members.
In February a NNV Council meeting will take place on February 24 at the Atlantis. Anyone having any issues, ideas or concerns should contact Diane Gandy, NHLA President, to include on the council agenda.
February 24 from 11:30-1:30 p.m. the NNV Women in Lodging luncheon will take place at the Atlantis in Reno. Special presenter Cory McGuire, CEO and President of Dale Carnegie Training, will discuss communicating with confidence.
Spring and summer member activities booked
April 12 will be a busy day for Northern Nevada members and guests. Starting at 9:30 a.m., digital marketing professionals from Internet Marketing Inc. will present a seminar, “Telling your Brand’s Story.” Joining IMI is the owner of Shay Velich Studio, a professional commercial photographer specializing in the hospitality industry. Shay will discuss the importance of imagery in online marketing.
On the evening of April 12, the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority will host a member social networking event at the Reno Stadium Club from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The Northern Nevada council will hold the Q2 meeting at the Peppermill. Following the council meeting, a NNV Women in Lodging Luncheon will take place at the Peppermill from 11:30-1:30 p.m.
Enjoy the beauty of the Carson Valley
In July, a member networking social will be held at the Carson Valley Community Center on the 13th. On July 14, a “Managing your Social Media Reputation” seminar will be offered at the UNR Redfield Campus from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
