On December 1, volunteers from the NHLA Women in Lodging (WIL) division will visit the residents of The Shade Tree. They will provide lots of fun activities for the children, ensuring everyone has some joy during the winter holiday season.

Fun and Games at The Shade Tree

Activities with the kids include games, holiday decorating, arts and crafts. The children residing at The Shade Tree have come from a traumatic background and are housed safely at the shelter with a mom or female relative.

It is particularly difficult, confusing and sad for children to be uprooted from a home and away from family members. Our team of volunteers will make sure everyone feels loved and safe, enjoys the day and looks forward to the holiday season.
