We implemented our NHLA Behind the Scenes tour program in Q2 last year. The program presents the opportunity for our members to visit various hotels and entities to learn more about what they each have to offer and how they operate.
Each NHLA Behind the Scenes tour event caps attendance at 30 participants and they fill up quickly.
Take a look at all the places we visited in 2022:
Area 15-We were taken on a tour of the entire facility and then given free admission to the Omega Mart. It was so much fun to learn more about the visions that inspired Area 15.
Mainstreet Station and Triple 7-If you haven’t been to Mainstreet Station, you should go. The Las Vegas history that is found throughout the property is impressive. We enjoyed a beer tasting at Triple 7 with this tour. Relaxed and fun, it was a great experience.
MGM Grand Laundry-The facility processes millions of pieces each year. The efficiency of this laundry is incredible! The team members are loyal, friendly and proud of their facility. It was a pleasure to participate in this event.
Madame Tussauds-such a fun venue with a photo opp everywhere you turn. The wax figures are so real-like you think they might be watching you. We had the opportunity to learn more about how the figures are made which was very interesting. We were treated to a special cocktail during the tour, too.
Mandalay Shark Reef-We learned so much about the care of the animals at the reef, where they came from, how they are fed and handled, and the science and sustainability behind all of the processes. We got to go behind the public areas and see the animals from above. The team at the Shark Reef is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and educated; they shared some very interesting facts with us.
Resorts World-This was a Part II in visiting Resorts World as we had been there right after opening when not everything was finished. We toured many of the areas, learning about the incredible art throughout the property. We visited the beautiful suites, the amazing spa, and Zouk nightclub. We were treated to cocktails, gift bags and a food tasting at the Famous Foods Street Eats which was delicious. The Resorts World hotel team’s hospitality is unsurpassed.
Waldorf Astoria-Tea anyone? We had the opportunity to tour the Waldorf Astoria which has undergone considerable renovations in the past couple of years. We ended with a beautiful tea party in the Sky Bar. Fancy and tasty treats along with a choice of delicious teas were capped off with a beautiful city view.
MGM Floral Center Roses and Rose’-participants were given a tour of the massive floral center and then the opportunity to create their own lovely arrangements. Such a fun and hands-on experience.
Palms Resort-The Palms Resort reopened last year under new ownership and has brought back the beauty, uniqueness, fun and “cool” factor in a modern way that this iconic property was known for over the years. We visited the unique suites, The Pearl, had a beer tasting experience, received wonderful gift bags, and saw many fantastic aspects of the property. The A.Y.C.E. buffet offers all-you-can-eat specialties such as crab and lobster on certain days, not to be missed!
Cromwell-Many of our attendees had the wonderful opportunity to sample some delicious treats in Giada’s restaurant. We toured beautiful hotel rooms and other areas of the great property ending with a spectacular trip up to Drai’s. The view is unsurpassed in this iconic nightclub. So much fun and great photos!
We learned a great deal about each of these amazing places and are now able to describe them to friends and family while encouraging them to visit. And of course, many of us will be returning to our favorite spots.
Thank you to all of our Behind the Scenes hosts, we truly appreciated the hospitality and the chance to learn more about the business.
