Who needs a WIL mentor? Who doesn’t!

NHLA Women in Lodging has a robust mentor program with two sessions per year. The mission of the WIL Mentor Program is to provide members with the opportunity to meet industry professionals who want to share their experience, knowledge and advice. Through the mentoring program WIL mentees receive guidance and support as they explore career enhancement and advancement.

The NHLA WIL mentor program is designed to fulfill various purposes. For mentees, it recognizes up and coming leaders in the hospitality industry and provides resources for learning experience.  It also gives women a chance to broaden their career horizons by exploring other departments or industry fields.

WIL Mentor NHLA

If participating as a mentor, the program allows experienced professionals to share their expertise, knowledge and guidance with a woman looking for career advancement and personal growth.

The program is a 10 week commitment for both parties – mentors and mentees.  The next session will start on July 10.  Mentors and mentees can sign up online now to participate.

We have had great feedback about the program with over 200 members going through a session.  Lifetime professional contacts and friendships are formed with everyone having an opportunity to broaden their horizons.

Vegas Valley Winery

Participants will meet at the Vegas Valley Winery at 6:00 p.m., enjoy some wine and snacks, and learn more about the mentor program and meet their partners.  The WIL mentor council members will be present to assist in getting everyone familiarized with the program, expectations and best practices.

The WIL mentor program is fun and beneficial for all

Each council member will be assigned a divided number of mentees and mentors to monitor and provide guidance throughout the program.  If you are a member of NHLA Women in Lodging and would like to participate, sign up now.  You will receive an introductory email when you are paired with another participant, about a week before the session begins.  Learn a lot in the WIL mentor program, make friends and have fun.
