Mary Vega, Exchange Manager with Soleil Management, serves on the Emerging Leaders council and is an active member. She assists with social media projects and posts, attends the council meetings as well as helping to organize events. Let’s get to know Mary better.
Mary, tell us where you work and what your role entails.
I work with Soleil Management as an Account Manager. I help our Timeshare Owners with planning their vacations, trading their time, updating their account documents and offer resources for any other questions they may have.
What do you like best about your job?
I enjoy being able to help our members with building the vacations that create memories for them. They are so happy and hearing how they loved their time makes it all worth it.
You have been involved in Emerging Leaders for quite some time. What do you find beneficial in being a member of this progressive and innovative group of leaders?
Emerging Leaders has given me the opportunity to build relationships with others in the Industry that I may not have been able to otherwise. It has also allowed me to see all the beautiful working parts that are within the Industry and how we can make an impact for all of them.
What are some of the goals this year for Emerging Leaders?
For 2022, the goal is to have Emerging Leaders programs/events/resources be about leveling up and becoming a better you. I would like us to provide more opportunities to see what the Industry can offer, give some resources to have people grow themselves (i.e., by participating in our Mentor Programs/Events) and have more of a presence in the everyday conversation with our peers.
Tell us about your favorite hobby.
I actually enjoy a lot of things but I would say right now is my writing. It feels nice to have an idea that comes to life on the page right before my eyes.
What is the best vacation you ever took and why?
My best vacation has to be when I went to WY for Christmas. I spent it with my family after what was a rough year for us and it was important that we were together. It brought us closer and stronger as a family and made so many more memories and traditions that I am excited about. A bonus was the snowball fights and it snowing Christmas morning!!
