Diego Lopez is a housekeeping floor manager with MGM Resorts at Luxor Resort and Casino. Diego started his career with MGMRI in 2017 and has been a central contributor in various roles.

Diego was a 2020 nominee for NHLA Starts of the Industry – Front Services Star of the Year Award. Diego has been leading MGMRI Employee Network Group – Emerging Leaders since 2018 and is the incoming 2022 Co-Chair for NHLA Emerging Leaders. Diego wants to help develop and empower other emerging leaders to drive success for our industry, guest and community.

Diego is also assuming the mentor program coordinator role this year and will assist in enhancing and administering the Emerging Leaders program. The next program will begin April 19. Registration to participate will open on March 1.

We asked Diego what he thinks is important and valuable in participating in the NHLA Emerging Leaders Program.

“I think it is important to be part of an inclusive environment Emerging Leaders aims to create. Where leaders can build relationships, expand knowledge and develop professionally. Emerging Leaders can provide participants with opportunities across different organizations.”
