NHLA looks forward to the South Point Equestrian Center tour tonight

  30 NHLA members will be touring the beautiful Equestrian Center at South Point tonight. The center is a state-of-the-art indoor facility and recognized as the nicest in the country. Everyone is looking forward to seeing some of the thoroughbred horses that will be there. We thank South Point for their hospitality in offering a guided Behind the Scenes tour.

Jobtimize - another resources for employee recruitment

  While Vegas PBS is one of everyone's favorite TV channels...it is also renowned as one of largest and comprehensive workforce centers in the state. NHLA member managers will have the opportunity to learn more about their latest program, Jobtimize. The technology matches jobseekers with open positions throughout our communities and industries through behavioral science and human analytics. Two brief webinars will be offered to NHLA member employers/management to learn more about Jobtimize as it can be another arm for recruitment and retention. The first one is February 28 and the second one is March 8. Join us.

Time to refresh Excel skills

  By popular request, NHLA is offering more Excel courses this year. If you missed the Excel refresher courses offered last year, here's your chance to join in. Nicole Marshall, NHLA Board Member and Regional Manager for The Siegel Group Nevada, will present a series of virtual sessions over the year to help those wishing to brush up on their Excel skills. March 7 is now full. The next upcoming class will take place March 14 at noon. This course is ideal for a refresher or for newer Excel users. More classes for intermediate and advanced are scheduled for later this year. Sign up.

Reputation Management - Building Your Professional Brand

  Our member, Deborah Thomas-Nininger with DTN Productions, will present a webinar on March 15 at noon that discusses the importance of reputation management and maintaining a professional brand. It is crucial for everyone to ensure their reputations and brands are exemplary. Join us for this complimentary webinar for all NHLA members and learn what is important and how to handle it.

Baseball is fun...and so is touring the famous Aviator's center and ballpark

  Join us on March 21 as we get a Behind the Scenes tour of the Aviators and the Las Vegas ballpark. This will be a fun tour for all of our baseball fans as well as those who have not been to the venue. Limited to the first 30 NHLA members to register...sign up now.

Let's join friends and colleagues on the golf course

  First we need to know how to play golf and then hone our skills. The UNLV PGM Golf Management team will provide the lessons to a small group of NHLA members starting on March 22 each week over a four week period ending with a round of golf at Angel Park. We have been doing this the past few years and it is a very successful and productive activity. Reserve your spot now.

  Our 4th Annual Vendor Showcase will take place on March 30 at the Orleans. This year we will open with a breakfast featuring our guest speaker, Pilar Harris, Sr. Director, Corporate Responsibility with Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Learn about what will be happening in November with the highly anticipated race taking place for the first time in Las Vegas.
