NHLA hosts Emerging Leaders mentor program

  NHLA will host the Q1 2021 Emerging Leaders mentor program beginning January 27 through March 10. Registration is now open for NHLA members for both mentees and mentors. Our Emerging Leaders mentor program pairs NHLA young professionals with experienced leaders in the Nevada hospitality industry. The mentors provide insights, guidance and tools for career success.

Nevada OSHA issues updated enforcement process

  OSHA has released guidance documents for businesses as the Governor's directives have evolved. With the latest "state pause" some of the guidelines have been modified. More info.

NHLA helping to meet New Year Fitness Goals

  After a holiday season of tasty treats, most people have "getting fit and healthy" at the top of their New Year goals list. NHLA is helping by hosting another virtual 5K for members and friends starting January 1st through January 31. Choose your location and method of completing a 5K and go for it! Medals will be sent to all participants to reflect your accomplishment. Register now.

Sustainability event- Save the date

  On February 11, professionals from our Clean and Green committee will participate in a virtual panel discussion relating to "Sustainability through a Pandemic." Various areas within hotels and businesses will be addressed on how to utilize best practices while maintaining important safety protocols.

NHLA technology committee Dec 16

  The NHLA technology committee will take place on Dec 16. Any of our members are welcome to submit ideas for educational activities such as webinars or seminars, conferences or other resources that will serve our membership well. Submit ideas.

Q1 NHLA book club scheduled

  Our Q1 book and podcast club will begin on January 13. It will be led by committee chair Lynn Gray and will be held virtually beginning at 5:30 p.m. Each book club session is for 6 weeks with a meeting every two weeks (3 total). The book title will be announced soon and all NHLA members are welcome to participate.

Dale Carnegie webinar offered to NHLA

  NHLA partner, Dale Carnegie, will present "Effective Communications & Human Relations: Course Preview" on January 7. This course helps you master the communication skills necessary in today's demanding business environment both face to face and virtual. Register to attend.
