Wear a Mask

  Governor Sisolak mandated wearing facial coverings when in public for all employees, customers, guests and visitors. This went into effect on Friday, June 26, to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Communication is of the utmost importance and signage is essential. Post reminders at your doors and in high traffic areas telling people face masks are mandatory until further notice. Reminder: Minimum wage increase goes into effect today

  In the last legislative session, legislators passed a progressive minimum wage schedule for increases. The first of four increases commences today, July 1st. Read more.


NHLA announces new foundation chairperson

  The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation is pleased to welcome Shannon McCallum as our new Chairman of the Board. Shannon has been a committed member and leader of NHLA for many years and has contributed substantial efforts to our success. We are so thrilled to have her lead our scholarship foundation that was officially launched a year ago.

Entrepreneurship program for rural Nevada

  The Nevada Governor's Office for Economic Development has created a program for development of an entrepreneurial network that brings rural leaders together. Partners in this program include Great Basin College, StartUpNV, the Nevada Small Business Development Center and Nevada Cooperative Extension and Entrepreneur's Assembly. Learn more.

  NHLA has been dubbed the industry center of events and resources over the years. With the current environment, of course, our in-person events have been temporarily suspended. Governor Sisolak extends Phase 2

  Governor Sisolak extended Phase 2 in Nevada through the end of July due to the trends in COVID-19 infection rates, the time needed for expanded contact tracing to identify trends, and to see the impacts of the Governor's new face covering directive. The prior directive was set to expire on June 30. More info.
