Stay at Home directive extended to April 30

  On April 1, Governor Steve Sisolak extended his “Stay at Home” directive for Nevadans until the end of April. That means non-essential businesses, gaming, and schools will remained closed through April 30.


$500 Relief Grant for people in the hospitality industry

  Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association partner, Timothy SY Lam Foundation, is offering $500 relief grants to individuals in the hospitality industry facing hardships starting April 10. Read more and apply here.

Small Business Administration EIDL Loan Information

  The Small Business Administration released its streamlined application for the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL). With this new online portal, participants can now quickly identify whether they are eligible for disaster loan support. Increased funding for the disaster loan program was included in the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Bill signed into law by President Donald Trump on March 6, 2020. COVID-19 SNHD notification system

  The Southern Nevada Health District is implementing a text and email-based notification system to assist in notifying individuals who have traveled to areas where transmission of COVID-19 is widespread, or who are contacts of a confirmed case. Some individuals may also be contacted by telephone in addition to receiving a text or e-mail notification. Learn more.


State eviction moratorium applies to weekly and extended stays

  Recently Governor Sisolak announced a moratorium on evictions in the State of Nevada. Per the Governor, the moratorium also includes weekly stays or extended living motels. If you have questions concerning the eviction moratorium, please consult the Nevada Health Response Center guidance or your legal representative.


Nevada National Guard Activated to assist with pandemic response efforts

  On April 1, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak was joined by Major General Ondra L. Berry to announce measures the state has taken during the COVID-19 virus, including the activation of the Nevada National Guard. Major General Berry will oversee the organization of the State’s response efforts in conjunction with the Department of Emergency Management and the Department of Health and Human Services. As this global pandemic continues to impact our state, this activation means that Nevada will have the best of the best running our statewide response operation. Read more.
