NHLA presents Q1 member social

  The Cosmopolitan will host the NHLA Q1 member social on February 11 which will include a special presentation by Rafael Villanueva, Sr. Director of International Sales with LVCVA. Rafael will give us an overview of what’s in the works for 2020. Register.

Read to Lead book club full

  The NHLA Read to Lead book club, now open to all NHLA members, is at capacity. We have 30 people signed up to attend and read “Drive” by Daniel H. Pink. The club will meet at TISOH in the brand new design lab on February 20.

Emerging Leaders mentor program begins this month

  The winter session for Emerging Leaders’ mentor program will begin February 25 and will take place at Tahiti Village. The program pairs young professionals looking to enhance their careers and gain more insight into the industry with experienced professionals. This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to learn from the best in the business. Sign up to be a mentee or mentor and see how fun and productive this program can be.

Vendor showcase takes place February 27

  Vendors and hotel teams will have the opportunity to meet at the upcoming NHLA Vendor Showcase on February 27 taking place at the Orleans. Vendors will have on hand their products and service information, raffle prizes will be part of the fun, and the luncheon promises to be productive. Our keynote is Danielle Yanke, Account Director with REQ. Danielle is an expert in digital marketing and social media and will share insights and trends for 2020. After lunch, if you have “update professional head shot image” on the task list this year, be sure to meet with Jenna Dosch. Jenna is a professional photographer, does an amazing job, and will let you check that task off the list at no charge. Register.

NHLA serves on TRSA panel

  Diane Gandy, Chris Breed and Eric Eisenberg have been invited to serve on a panel at the TRSA Hospitality Conference taking place February 5 at the Westin Hotel. The organization serves to promote and strengthen the linen, uniform and facilities services industry. The panel will focus on questions pertaining to guest expectations, how NHLA serves the industry, challenges hoteliers face in current times and what procedures and policies have been established to address guest needs today. Long-time NHLA member Terry Satchwell, PureStar Linen, will moderate the panel discussion.
