  Debbie Ngai, Director of Catering and Convention Services at Vdara, has been selected as the NHLA Q2 Volunteer of the Quarter. Debbie is leading the food and beverage committee in coordinating fundraising events for the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Foundation scholarship program. We appreciate all of Debbie's significant contributions!

NHLA implements Association Health Care Program

  Prominence Health Plan will offer a new Association Health Plan to the members of the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association (NHLA). Smaller hospitality providers can now offer high-quality and affordable medical, dental, vision and life insurance to all their employees. Open enrollment began June 1, 2019, and the plan will be effective July 1, 2019. Learn more.

Rock, Roll and Bowl for NHLA scholarship fundraiser

  Join industry colleagues on July 25 at the Orleans Bowling Center for the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association annual bowling tourney. Back by popular request, the theme is 80s so get out your leg warmers, colorful clothing, fish nets and big hair and join the fun! Proceeds benefit the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Scholarship Foundation.

Next Reigning Generation mentor program conclusion July 10

  The participants in the summer session of the NRG mentor program will attend a gathering of mentees and mentors on July 10 at the Palazzo Prestige Lounge to wrap up their experience in the popular mentor program. A review of the program will take place and certificates of completion will be awarded.

NHLA Women in Lodging Philanthropy Committee meeting – July 11

  Committee members will meet at TISOH on July 11 at 9:00 a.m. to plan the second half of the year’s WIL philanthropic events. Special appreciate is extended to Amanda Taylor for being our chairperson the past 18 months and making the committee successful; we wish Amanda the best in her career move and look forward to seeing her at our events. Very active super star member Nicole Marshall will take the lead of the committee and guide the activities for the remainder of the year. The committee is open to any WIL members interested in joining.

WIL mentor program starts July 16

  WIL members may sign up to participate in the mentor program beginning July 16 for a 10-week session. This program has been highly successful since launch with over 400 women participating and completing the activity. Sign up to be a mentor or mentee now.

NNV Council Q3 council meeting scheduled

  NNV council members will meet on July 23 at the Renaissance to review the first half of the year and plan activities for the remainder for the NNV members. NHLA strives to provide relevant, educational and fun activities and events for our NNV regional members.

NHLA Board Members will meet in Reno for quarterly board meeting

  The NHLA board members will meet in Reno on July 23 for the quarterly board meeting to review YTD information and upcoming events, programs, activities and industry related issues.
